The 2022 model was supposed to launch in December last year but was delayed. However, official dealer Toledo Motors has already started taking pre-orders for the car, which is priced at an estimated TK 2.3 crore.
The latest Grand Cherokee has a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, producing 272hp of power and 400Nm of peak torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission powers all four wheels through a four-wheel drive system. The car also has terrain modes, including Auto, Sport, Mud/Sand and Snow.
The car’s interior has multiple screens, as is familiar with modern cars. The 10.1-inch touchscreen can transform the stack of HVAC controls below it. The front passenger dashboard features a 10.1-inch screen, a configurable 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch head-up display, a wireless charging pad and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
A rear seat entertainment display, a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, front ventilated seats, and a powered tailgate add to the car’s luxury. In terms of its exterior appearance, the new Jeep Grand Cherokee shares its design with the larger Grand Wagoneer available in other markets.
The car features a seven-slat grille with sleek LED headlights and a projecting bumper, with large side and central air intakes below it. The Grand Cherokee features sleek LED tail lamps, a prominent number plate housing on the tailgate and a powerful rear bumper, making it an eye-catching vehicle on the road.
The appeal of the new Grand Cherokee lies in its off-road capability, on-road refinement, luxury amenities and features, and the rugged exterior look that Jeep fans love. It is expected to launch in Bangladesh within the next few months.
